
Supplies
- Strawberries, as needed
- Jelly Mixture:
- 20g granulated sugar
- 200ml water
- Dissolved gelatin (5g gelatin powder + 1 tbsp water)
- A dash of lemon juice
- Strawberry Mousse:
- 50g strawberries
- 15g granulated sugar
- 80ml milk
- Dissolved gelatin (5g gelatin powder + 1 tbsp water)
- 50ml heavy cream
Steps
- Hull the strawberries.
- Pack the strawberries into the bottom of loaf pan.
- Mix together granulated sugar, water and dissolved gelatin.
- Heat the mixture for about 1 minute and 30 seconds in a 600w microwave. Mix in lemon juice and let cool.
- Pour the mixture into the loaf pan with strawberries. Refrigerate until hardened for about 5 hours.
- In a bowl, combine to stir the ingredients for Strawberry Mousse except for heavy cream.
- Heat the mixture for about 1 minute and 30 seconds in a 600w microwave. Add heavy cream and mix.
- Pour the Strawberry Mousse into the loaf pan and refrigerate until hardened for about 5 hours.
- Remove the jelly from the pan and cut it into appropriate sizes.
