• 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp semolina
  • 3 tbsp curd
  • 2 tbsp strawberry puree (can use strawberry jam)
  • 5 tbsp. milk
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp pink food colouring
  • 2 drops strawberry essence
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Desi ghee - to fry the jalebi (1kg)
  • Fresh strawberries (500g)
  • 50g pistachio, without shells


  1. In a bowl add all-purpose flour, semolina, curd, strawberry jam and whisk it well and add milk before whisking it again. To the mix, add baking soda, baking powder, pink food colour and mix all the ingredients again until your batter turns into a nice pink colour.
  2. Now in a pan add pink food colour, strawberry essence, water and sugar, mix until the sugar completely dissolves.
  3. Add your jalebi batter to a piping bag and heat some ghee in a large pan at medium flame. Start frying your jalebi when you know the ghee is hot enough. Dip the fried jalebi’s in the sugar syrup and serve them hot. Top it with sliced strawberries and pistachios.
